Sunburn or wind burn can be soothed with baking soda

If you have ever stayed too long in the sun and suffered from sunburn you will know that any relief is a welcome. The same can be said for wind burn. Here is a tip explaining that sunburn or wind burn can be soothed using baking soda.

All you need to do is saturate a washcloth in a baking soda solution (4 tablespoons in 1 quart of water) and apply to the affected area.

You can also use baking soda if you have no cloth, simply make a baking soda paste with 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water and apply to the area.

The water will quickly evaporate from your skin leaving a crusty layer of baking soda on your skin. This does not look nice but the relief from the pain will be worth it.
