Sidewalks and patios
You can clean your sidewalks and patios using a broom and a box of baking soda. Sprinkling the baking soda over the concrete, wetting it a little and scrubbing with the broom will leave your concrete walkways or patios clean.

Ants in sandboxes
If ants like you children’s sandbox, mix in a box of baking soda with the sand. A box for every fifty pounds of sand in the sand box will keep ants away.

Fleas
If your lawn is infected with fleas you can keep them from jumping on your pets – sprinkle baking soda through your lawn, wherever your pets will be wandering about and the fleas will leave this area. You will have to reapply new baking soda after each rain. Sprinkling a little baking soda on the cat or dog once a week also will keep fleas from making a home on your pet.

Roaches
Keep roaches from entering your home – sprinkle baking soda along your basement walls, around water pipes and around any source of water in your basement.

Pools
Getting ready for a new summer season? You can clean out the children’s pool getting rid of mold and mildew by using a gallon of water, a cup of baking soda and a cup of vinegar to scrub the pool.
