Fevers
Children with fevers benefit from a cool bath with the use of baking soda as well. Sometimes the use of medication takes a little while to take effect, when you need to bring a high fever down fast the use of cool (not cold) water and baking soda in the water brings a childís temperature down quickly.

Acne
Do you or your children suffer from acne? You can get relief from acne by using a baking soda and water paste applied to the pimple area and letting it dry out for about ten to fifteen minutes. This is a mild facial scrub that you will want to rinse away without actually scrubbing and irritating your face.

Razor burn
Do you have razor burn on your legs or on your face? You can get fast relief from razor burn by dabbing on a thin baking soda and water paste to the affected area.

Refreshing facial
Does your face need a deep cleansing after cooking with oils or sweating a lot? Give yourself a refreshing facial by making a thin paste of water and baking soda and rinsing your face with this mixture.

Condition hair
Does your hair feels lumpy and waxy? You can give your hair a quick pick me up removing buildup from shampoos by mixing two tablespoons of baking soda in one teaspoon of your shampoo and wash as usual. You will find your hair will be lighter and less greasy!

Clean your combs and brushes
Do your combs and brushes look like you have been using them in the dirt instead of your hair? You can clean out your brushes and combs by boiling a pan of water, adding a cup of baking soda and boiling your brush or comb for about ten minutes. Rinsing in hot tap water will leave your brushes and combs looking clean. Donít forget to only leave your items boil for a few minutes because you could melt them!
