Neutralize breath odor
If you have recently been eating onions or peppers you can put one eighth of a teaspoon of baking soda in your mouth and wash it around with a little water to neutralize this smell and taste.

Whiter teeth
Keep you teeth white by dipping your wet toothbrush in baking soda and then continue brushing as you normally would. Rinse with a baking soda and water mixture to a final clean that leaves you confident.

Stronger toothpaste
If you like using fluoride in your toothpaste you can mix your toothpaste with baking soda in a sealed container that you can use everyday for stronger toothpaste that will leave your teeth whiter and fresher.

Homemade toothpaste
You can make your own toothpaste by using two tablespoons of baking soda and one tablespoon of peroxide. Brushing with this mixture you will cut germs; grime and you will leave your mouth fresh and deodorized all at the same time.

Toothbrush soak
You can soak your toothbrushes in a thin baking soda and water paste to kill germs from colds and cold sores.

Cold sores
If you have a cold sore you can get some relief with baking soda. Wet the baking soda with just a drop of water to make a paste, apply to your cold sore (as you would acne) leave it on for up to ten minutes and rinse away. Do not scrub away as this could irritate your skin even more. You will find that the baking soda not only soothes the discomfort but speeds the healing.
